What will remain

The title suggests a struggle with time, transience, a desire to keep something permanently. The works are made of recycled paper – old newspapers and books. The pages have been milled, but in places you can still see fragments of texts. Something has been destroyed – only fragments, relics remain. Faces lie on the floor of the gallery. They bring associations with toppled monuments, but also with some kind of shells, empty cocoons from which life has escaped, released. What’s left is dead matter, decaying remnants that nevertheless used to be something or someone. „What will remain?” More and more unformed matter? More and more fading memories? A soul? Pain? Emptiness?
