Thoughts, words, images, feelings, smells. Photos, books, objects. What remains?
A formless mass. Gray, dirty, devoid of form.
In it, fragments are still visible. Shreds, pieces, no longer possible to put together. They are testimony that there was something. There was something good, true. Something hopeful, trusting, joyful.
And then suddenly something happened. What was growing – withered and destroyed. What was full of strength lost its meaning and faith. It surrendered to destruction, inevitable decay. You can still see that there was something. One still remembers it. Still sometimes thinks about it. Sometimes one tries to save, to perpetuate, to immortalize. But time does its work. Life flows on. What was, disappears. It remains…
„From dust you were created and to dust you shall turn…”.
Soon a new one will rise.
